I was orginally writing this solumn about the return of DX, but to be quite honest - I'm totally sick of this subject already, and even if they do reunite (something I still don't think will happen) the whole thing is pretty soured by the months and months of speculation. So instead I thought I'd just write about my opinions on the recent goings on in RAW, SmackDown! and ECW. Its been an eventual few weeks, which is unusual for this time of year.

- It looks like the WWE will not be doing a draft lottery this year. You could argue they don't need one, but I think they do. On the RAW roster there is the likes of Big Show, Carlito, Charlie Haas, and Masters, who are basically doing nothing. At a time where SmackDown! are short on talent, why not just bump a few of them names over there?

- The Spirit Squad have been brilliant since they debuted in March, and the gimmick is awesome. But why are they stuck in Triple H and Vince McMahon's storyline (which is the most BORING thing on WWE TV right now!) instead of doing their own thing. Also, stop pushing Kenny! I have no problem with him at all, but he's not ready to be main-event RAW for SIX weeks on the trot! No wonder he got bullied by jealous wrestlers at OVW if he just over-pushed like this. In saying that, in a few years time he probably will become a headliner - but not yet!

- People feuding with Vince is OLD! Nobody cares anymore. Having HBK and Triple H play a poor man's Stone Cold Steve Austin is no good for anybody! Now we've gotta sit through the borefest of the 'Kiss My Ass Club' again.

- Triple H stop hitting people with a Sledgehammer! .... That might sound a strange thing to ask, but .... he's making it routine. The point of Sledgehammer is that its 'special' and its only used when he really needs it - not every week! He might as well start letting everybody use one as well.

- The Coach is now Vince McMahon's executive assistant, instead of their being a new general manager named. That false advertising is really going to start annoying the fans.

- *RECYCLED STORYLINE ALERT* - Now 12 years on from SummerSlam 1994, and we have a Kane vs Fake Kane feud! I'm not bad-mouthing this one yet, we'll just have to see how it progresses.

- Johnny Nitro debuted on RAW this week. Jobbing to Cena. He got some decent offence in, but the squeaky clean finish doesn't make his future look bright. Nitro has got bags of talent - but unfortunately, it doesn't look like he'll have success as an individual competitor, especially on RAW.

- How bad has the crowd turned on RVD? Cena is getting cheered over him! I can't believe it! I know this will change at One Night Stand, and Cena will be a HUGE heel there, but for now RVD is doing something Triple H couldn't - take note WWE.

- Chris Masters has been taken off the road in line with the new drugs testing policy. People has automatically assumed that it was steriods, and they may be right. Think about it, if your gimmick is to be a super-sizd musclehead like the 'Masterpiece', then the drugs testing policy will put you under a lot of pressure. It could have been painkillers that Masters was caught using, as he might of needed them because of the extra effort he would have to put in to remain a 'Masterpiece'.

- Squashes are ineffective. I don't think I'm the only person who is totally bored of the Samoan Bulldozer already.

- Chris Benoit is the latest man to hit the shelf at the hands of Mark Henry. And again this time it wasn't Henry's fault! I'm not his biggest fan by any means, but he's getting a lot of unfair critisism for 'putting people out of action'. Batista was wrestling with an injury - which is very dangerous, and there was a high risk he could be sidelined. Kurt Angle and Chris Benoit have NOT been injured by Henry, they have just gotten some time off that's all!

- JBL is fired! I think he'll back on SmackDown! before we know it, and he'll take Palmer Canon's old role. He can become the network representitive, and Teddy Long will be powerless to fire him.

- Orlando Jordan has been released. This is reportadly because he had unauthorized people with him on the tour. But, in reality the WWE had nothing for him, and he was rarely getting used on SmackDown! or even Velocity! I think its a shame though, say what you want about him, he was good at putting people over.

- Joey Mercury has been sent to drug rehab and has been taken off the road. This is believed to be part of the reason why WWE split MNM up. The future does not look too bad for Mercury though, because he has a past with ECW, he will probably become part of their roster.

- I'm hoping the WWE is planning to have Chavo turn on Rey in the next couple of weeks. That storyline would be vey bad taste.

- Lashley winning the United States title just confirms to me that he was the original choice to win the King of the Ring. WWE had a change of heart and decided to have Booker win the tournament, on the condition that Lashley picks up the US title as a consolation prize.

- Kurt Angle being drafted to ECW is brilliant decision. I never thought Kurt's new character was comfortable on SmackDown!, because its a character more suited to an older audience. But, he moving him to RAW doesn't work either, because he's held back for being a threat to a certain Mr H. Now he can be the top star on an all-action brand that will definately suit his style. His name is also sufficient star power to get fans tuning in. I reckon he'll probably work as a heel, because he's a bit of an outsieder.

- Predictably it looks like RVD will be Paul Heyman's draft pick from RAW. You can't really dispute that. It just makes sense for RVD to be in ECW.
